Perfect, Sure, and Pure

The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple; the statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes; the fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.
Who can understand his errors? Cleanse me from secret faults. Keep back Your servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me. Then I shall be blameless, and I shall be innocent of great transgression. Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my strength and my Reedemer.
Psalm 19:7-14

He knows...

You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book. My enemies will retreat when I call to you for help. This I know: God is on my side! I praise God for what He has promised; yes, I praise the Lord for what He has promised. I turst in God, so why should I be afraid? What can mere mortals do to me? I will fulfill my vows to You, O God, and will offer a sacrifice of thanks for Your help. For You have rescued me from death; you have kept my feet from slipping. So now I can walk in Your presence, O God, in Your life-giving light.
Psalm 56:8-13

I will bless the Lord who guides me; even at night my heart instructs me. I know the Lord is always with me. I will not be shaken, for He is right beside me. No wonder my heart is glad, and I rejoice. My body rests in safety. For You will not leave my soul among the dead or allow your holy one to rot in the grave. You will show me the way of life, granting me the joy of Your presence and the pleasures of living with you forever.
Psalm 16:7-11

Here we Go!

Okay. Now it's starting to feel like the holiday season! What a little snow and Christmas cheer can do...
It's amazing!

Problems....

... are apart of life. They are inescapable; woven into the very fabric of this fallen world. You tend to go into problem-solving mode all too readily, acting as if you have the capacity to fix everything. This is a habitual response, so automatic that it bypasses your conscious thinking. Not only does this habit frustrate you, it also distances you from Me.

Do not let fixing things be your top priority. You are ever so limited in your capacity to correct all that is wrong in the world around you. Don't weigh yourself down with responsibilities that are not your own. Instead, make your relationship with Me your primary concern. Talk with Me about whatever is on your mind, seeking My perspective on the situation. Rather than trying to fix everything that comes to your attention, ask Me to show you what is truly important. Remember that you are en route to heaven, and let your problems fade in the light of eternity.

Sarah Young

So, I know all this is true. And I am left thinking, "Okay God, so why am I hear then? I know you have a purpose and a plan for my life, but you don't want me to do anything but grow in my relationship with you. That's it?" Then He tells me that being with Him is step one. As He grows me into His likeness, He changes me from the inside out. He shows me how to look at others the way He does. To look at situations the way He does. To help the way He would. Touching the hearts of others.... because that is what truly, ONLY matters. So Lord, I will take this first step. To remain in You alone. To let you do the work around me. And when you say,"Time to help Me in what I have started, my dear one." I can respond with the attitude that you have grown in me of thankfulness and gratitude... just to be Your helper on Your mission to save Your people.
Thank You, Father. Thank You.

November 29 Devotional

Let me infuse My peace into your innermost being. As you sit quietly in the light of My presence, you can sense peace growing within you. This is not something that you accomplish through self-discipline and willpower; it is opening yourself to receive my blessing.

In this age of independence, people find it hard to acknowledge their neediness. However, I have taken you along a path that has highlighted your need for Me: placing you in situations where your strengths were irrelevant and your weaknesses were glaringly evident. Through the aridity of those desert marches, I have drawn you closer and closer to Myself. You have discovered flowers of peace blossoming in the most desolate places. You have learned to thank Me for hard times and difficult journeys, trusting that through them I accomplish My best work. You have realized that needing Me is the key to knowing Me intimately, which is the gift above all gifts.

Sarah Young

If you extend your soul to the hungry and satisfy the afflicted soul, then your light shall down in the darkness, and your darkness shall be as the noonday. The Lord will guide you continually, and satisfy your soul in drought, and strengthen your bones; You shall be like a watered garden, and a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.
Isaiah 58:10-11

Behold, the Lord God shall come with a strong hand, and His arm shall rule for Him; Behold, His reward is with Him, and His work before Him. He will feed His flock like a shepherd; He will gather the lambs with His arm, and carry them in His bosom, and gently lead those who are with young.
Isaiah 40:10-11

Reflections

I was able to take a little time today and enjoy some peaceful moments... with my camera in hand. I find photographs with reflections very appealing. I'm not really sure why. As I thought on it a bit, I was caught up in how much our lives reflect what is in our hearts. I am reminded at how true it is that, "what goes in, must come out". I am again put at ease by my convictions that know, I need to take every precaution necessary to guard my heart, mind, eyes and ears. Not only for my sake, but for the sake of my children. How could I live with myself if I said one thing, but did another? Just pondering out loud.....

A Few Facts

We are just days away from December. We are in Buffalo, New York. We have not had ANY snow. Temps continue to be in the high 40's. Hmm.... where is winter? I tell you, not having snow at all during November has been very strange. It's hard to get into holiday mode without it.

Soon enough.... I guess.

Thankful For:

O Lord, You have lifted me up. O Lord, my God, I cried out to You and You healed me. Lord, You have brought my soul up from the grave; You have kept me alive.

I will sing praise and give thanks at the remembrance of His holy name.

For His anger is but for a moment; His favor is for life; weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.

By Your favor You have made me stand strong; You hid Your face and I was troubled. I cried out to You, and to You I made supplication.

Hear, My Father, and have mercy on me. Be my helper!

You have turned my mourning into dancing; You have clothed me with gladness.

I will sing praise to You and not be silent. O Lord, my God, I will give thanks to you forever.

Psalm 30 (in my words)
Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord!
Psalm 27:14

The LORD is my strength and my shield; My heart trusted in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart greatly rejoices, And with my song I will praise Him.
Psalm 28:7

The LORD will give strength to His people; The LORD will bless His people with peace.
Psalm 29:11

November 19 Devotional

"Who is like You, O Lord, among the gods? Who is like You, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders? You stretched out Your right hand; the earth swallowed them. You in Your mercy have led forth the people whom You have redeemed; You have guided them in Your strength to Your holy habitation."
Exodus 15:11-13

November 18

Come to Me, and rest in My Peace. My Face is shining upon you,in rays of Peace transcending understanding. Instead of trying to figure things out yourself, you can relax in the Presence of the One who know everything. As you lean on Me in trusting dependence, you feel peaceful and complete. This is how I designed you to live; in close communion with Me.

When you are around other people, you tend to cater to their expectations - real or imagined. You feel enslaved to pleasing them, and your awareness of My Presence grows dim. Your efforts to win their approval eventually exhaust you. You offer these people dry crumbs rather than the living water of My Spirit flowing through you. This is not My way for you! Stay in touch with Me, even during you busiest moments. Let My Spirit give you words of grace as you live in the Light of My Peace.

Sarah Young

See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is. And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart ot the Lord, giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, submitting to one another in the fear of God.
Ephesians 5:15-21

November 17 Devotional

There is no condemnation for those who are in Me. The law of the Spirit of Life has set you free from the law of sin and death. Not many Christians know how to live in this radical freedom, which is their birthright. I died to set you free; love freely in Me!

To walk along the path of freedom, you must keep your mind firmly fixed on Me. Many voices proclaim: "This is the way for you to go," but only My voice tells you the true way. If you follow the way of the world with all its glitter and glamour, you will descend deeper and deeper into an abyss. Christian voices also can lead you astray: "Do this!" "Don't do that!" "Pray this way!" "Don't pray that way!" If you listen to all those voices, you will become increasingly confused. Be content to be a simple sheep, listening for My voice and following Me. I will lead you into restful green pastures and guide you along paths of righteousness.

Sarah Young

My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. John 10:27

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake. Yes, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me. Psalm 23:1-4

November 15 Devotional

I will sing of the mercies of the Lord forever; with my mouth will I make known Your faithfulness to all generations. The heavens will praise Your wonders, O Lord; Your faithfulness also in the assembly of the saints. For who in the heavens can be compared to the Lord? Who among the sons of the mighty can be likened to the Lord? God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, and to be held in reverence by all those around Him. O Lord God of hosts, who is mighty like You, O Lord? Your faithfulness also surrounds You. You rule the raging of the sea; when its waves rise, You still them. The heavens are Yours, the earth also is Yours; The world and all its fullness, You have founded them. The north and the south, You have created them. You have a mighty arm; strong is Your hand, and high is Your right hand. Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne; Mercy and truth go before Your face. Blessed are the people who know the joyful sound! They walk, O Lord, in the light of Your countenance. In Your name they rejoice all day long, and in Your righteousness they are exalted. For You are the glory of their strength.

Psalm 89:1-17

November 14 Devotional

Bask in the luxury of being fully understood and unconditionally loved. Dare to see yourself as I see you: radiant in My righteousness, cleansed by My blood. I view you as the one I created you to be, the one you will be in actuality when heaven becomes your home. It is My Life within you that is changing you from glory to glory. Rejoice in this mysterious miracle! Thank Me continually for the amazing gift of My Spirit within you.

Try to depend on the help of the Spirit as you go through this day of life. Pause briefly from time to time so you can consult with this Holy One inside you. He will not force you to do His bidding, but He will guide you as you give Him space in your life. Walk along this wondrous way of collaboration with My Spirit.

Sarah Young

I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make its boast in the Lord; the humble shall hear of it and be glad.

Oh, magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together.

I sought the Lord, and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears. They looked to Him and were radiant, and their faces were not ashamed. This poor man (woman) cried out, and the Lord heard, and saved him out of all his troubles. The angel of the Lord encamps all around those who fear Him, and delivers them. Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who trusts in Him! Oh, fear the Lord, you His saints! There is no want to those who fear Him. The young lions lack and suffer hunger; but

those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing.

Come, you children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the Lord. Who is the man who desires life, and loves many days, that he may see good? Keep your tongue from evil, and your lips from speaking deceit. Depart from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it. The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears are open to their cry. The face of the Lord is against those who do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.

The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles.

The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves such as have a contrite spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all. He guards all his bones, not one of them is broken. Evil shall slay the wicked, and those who hate the righteous shall be condemned. The Lord redeems the souls of His servants, and none of those who trust in Him shall be condemned.

Psalm 34 (Isn't that beautiful?!)

Does Truth Really Set You Free?

...or do we hide from it when it is uncomfortable? I have to find yet where it says "Truth doesn't hurt". It hurts like nothing else. But in Truth comes healing and restoration.

Let a man so consider us, as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God. Moreover it is required in stewards that one be found faithful. But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged by you or by a human court. In fact, I do not even judge myself. For I know of nothing against myself, yet I am not justified by this; but He who judges me is the Lord. Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord comes, who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness and reveal the counsels of the hears. Then each onte's praise will come from God.

I do not write these things to shame you, but as my beloved children I warn you. For though you might have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet you do not have many fathers; for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel. For the kingdon of God is not in word but in power. What do you want? Shall I come to you with a rod, or in love and a spirit of gentleness?

It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and such secual immorality as is not even named among the Gentiles - that a man has his father's wife! And you are puffed up, and have not rather nourned, that he who has done this deed might be taken away from among you. For I indeed, as absent in body but present in spirit, have already judges him who has so done this deed. In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when you are gathered together, along with my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ, deliver such a one to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus. Your glorying is not good. Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump? Therefore purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, since you are truly unleavened. For indeed Christ, our Passover, was sacrificed for us.

I wrote to you in my epistle not to keep company with secually immoral people. Yet I certainly did not mean with the sexually immoral people of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or idolaters, since then you would need to go out of the world. But now I have written to you not to keep compandy with anyone named a brother, who is sexually immoral, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner - not even to eat with such a person. For what have I to do with judging those also who are outside? Do you not judge those who are inside? But those who are outside God judges. Therefore "put away from yourselves the evil person."

All things are lawful for me, but all things are not helpful. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any. Foods for the stomach and the stomach for foods, but God will destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for sexual immorality but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. And God both raised up the Lord and will also raise us up by His power. Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the memebers of Christ and make them members of a harlot? Certainly not! Or do you not know that he who is joined ot a harlot is one body with her? For "the two," He says, "shall become one flesh." But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him. Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glority God in your body and in your spirit. which are God's.

1 Corinthians 4 - 6

November 11 Devotional

Do not let any set of circumstances intimidate you. The more challenging your day, the more of My Power I place at your disposal. You seem to think that I empower you equally each day, but this is not so. Your tendency upon awakening is to assess the difficulties ahead of you, measuring them against your average strength. This is an exercise in unreality.

I know what each of your days will contain, and I empower you accordingly. The degree to which I strengthen you on a given day is based mainly on two variables: the difficulty of your circumstances, and your willingness to depend on Me for help. Try to view challenging days as opportunities to receive more of My Power than usual. Look to Me for all that you need, and watch to see what I will do. As your day, so shall your strength be.

Sarah Young

Seek the Lord and His strength; seek His face evermore! Psalm 105:4

November 10 Devotional

Focus your entire being on My living Presence. I am most assuredly with you, enveloping you in My Love and Peace. While you relax in My Presence, I am molding your mind and cleansing your heart. I am recreating you into the one I designed you to be.

As you move from stillness into the activities of your day, do not relinquish your attentiveness to Me. If something troubles you, talk it over with Me. If you get bored with what you are doing, fill the time with prayers and praise. When someone irritates you, don't let your thoughts linger on that person's faults. Gently nudge your mind back to Me. Every moment is precious if you keep your focus on Me. Any day can be a good day, because My Presence permeates all time.

Sarah Young

You have a mighty arm; strong is Your hand, and high is Your right hand. Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne; Mercy and Truth go before Your face. Blessed are the people who know the joyful sound! They walk, O Lord, in the light of Your countenance. In Your name they rejoice all day long, and in Your righteousness they are exalted. For You are the glory of their strength.

Psalm 89:13-17

My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth. And by this we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before Him. For if our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and know all things. Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence toward God. And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight. And this is His commandment; that we should believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ and love one another.

1 John3:18-23

But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. And on some have compassion, making a distinction, but others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garment defiled by the flesh. Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, to God our Savior, who alone is wise, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever. Amen.

Jude 20-25

As for me, You uphold me in my integrity, and set me before Your face forever.

Psalm 41:12

November 9 Devotional

Sit quietly with Me, letting all your fears and worries bubble up to the surface of your consciousness. There, in the light of My Presence, the bubbles pop and disappear. However, some fears surface over and over again, especially fear of the future. You tend to project yourself mentally into the next day, week, month, year, decade; and you visualize yourself coping badly in those times. What you are seeing is a false image, because if doesn't include Me. Those gloomy times that you imagine will not come to pass, since My Presence will be with you at all times.
When a future-oriented worry assails you, capture it and disarm it by suffusing the Light of My Presence into that mental image. Say to yourself, "Jesus will be with me then and there. With His help, I can cope!" Then, come home to the present moment, where you can enjoy Peace in My Presence.
Jesus Calling by Sarah Young

Then He said to His disciples, "Therefore I say to you do not worry about your life, what you will eat; nor about the body, what you will put on. Life is more than food, and the body more than clothing. Consider the birds, for they neither sow nor reap, which have neither storehouse nor barn; and God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds? And which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature? If you then are not able to do the least, why are you anxious for the rest? Seek the kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added to you."
Luke 12:22-26 & 31

Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you."
Deuteronomy 31:6

For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.
2 Corinthians 10:4-6

November 8 Devotional

Learn to appreciate difficult days. Be stimulated by the challenges you encounter along your way. As you journey through rough terrain with Me, gain confidence from your knowledge that together we can handle anything. This knowledge is comprised of three parts: your relationship with Me, promises in the Bible, and past experiences of coping successfully during hard times.
Look back on your life, and see how I have helped you through difficult days. If you are tempted to think, "Yes, but that was then, and this is now," remember who I Am! Although you and your circumstances may change dramatically, I remain the same throughout time and eternity. This is the basis of your confidence. In My Presence you live and move and have your being.
Jesus Calling by Sarah Young

Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. "Behold, all hose who were against you shall be ashamed and disgraced; they shall be as nothing, and those who strive with you shall perish. You shall seek them and not find them - those who contended with you. Those who war against you shall be as nothing, as a nonexistent thing. For I, the Lord your God, will hold your right hand, saying to you, "Fear not, I will help you."
Isaiah 41:10-13

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory....
Ephesians 3:20

November 7, 2011

A dear friend of mine blessed me with an amazing devotional book for my Birthday. I have been so touched by it, along with the Bible, that I thought to share it.

Worship Me in the beauty of holiness. All true beauty reflects some of who I Am. I am working My ways in you; the divine Artist creating loveliness within your being. My main work is to clear out debris and clutter, making room for My Sporit to take full possession. Collaborate with Me in this effort by being willing to let go of anything I choose to take away. I know what you need, and I have promised to provide all of that - abundantly!

Your sense of security must not rest in your possessions or in things going your way. I am training you to depend on Me alone, finding fulfillment in My Presence. This entails being satisfied with much or with little, accepting either as My will for the moment. Instead of grasping and controlling, you are learning to release and receive. Cultivate this receptive stance by trusting Me in every situation.

Jesus Calling by Sarah Young

The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? Though an army may encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war may rise against me, in this I will be confident. One thing I have desired of the Lord, that will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in His temple.
For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; in the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock. And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies all around me; therefore I will offer sacrifices of joy in His tabernacle; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the Lord.
Hear, O Lord, when I cry with my voice! Have mercy also upon me, and answer me. When You said, "Seek My face," my heart said to You, "Your face, Lord, I will seek." Do not hide Your face from me; Do not turn Your servant away in anger; You have been my help; Do not leave me nor forsake me. O God of my salvation. When my father and mother forsake me, then the Lord will take care of me.
Teach me Your way, O Lord, and lead me in a smooth path, because of my enemies. Do not deliver me to the will of my adversaries; for false witnesses have risen against me, and such as breathe out violence. I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; wait, I say, on the Lord!

Psalm 27

Girls Trip to Letchworth

Sharing Peace

I know that You can do everything, and that no purpose of Yours can be withheld from You.
Job 42:2
If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.
James 1:5
When feeling overwhelmed with the day(s) and what lies ahead, I was reminded of these verses. As I said them over and over, my heart began to find peace in knowing that 1) He has everything under control 2) He CAN do ALL things 3) When I think He is not moving the way I want Him to, I can rest in knowing that He is trying to grow me and make me better.... deeper... in Him. Just hang on, hang in there, and do what He tells you. If He doesn't tell you to do anything, then don't. Sit still and wait for Him.

The Latest Addition

Mya has become a mommy to a Netherland Dwarf Rabbit. When full grown, it will be between
2 1/2 and 3 lbs.
This was a pet she had wanted for the past two years. Matt and I finally decided she was old enough to take care of it on her own. She's been great with the responsibilities. Hope it lasts! She named him "Hoppy".
Beloved, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

Through the Lord's mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions never fail. They are new every morning. Great is Your faithfulness.

Helpless

I came across this teeny nest a month or so ago. I was amazed at how small these little birds were. How vulnerable. They didn't remain in the nest very long. One evening I saw little ones in the grass. They were unable to fly, but they could hop and call their parent just fine. When I checked back to see if more eggs had been laid in the nest, I saw the skeleton of one baby bird. I was sad. And then I thought... was the fear of flying too much? Did it long to remain in safety, causing it to starve to death? Was it just too weak to survive with the rest? This all made me think at the way I live my life. Do I crave the sense of security as I know it... so that I let go of trusting God? Trusting Him enough to let go of everything and follow Him no matter the cost. I know he will take care of me, because He cares for me. He made me. Why do I try to control "my" life to feel safe? Could this be the path of an early death? Mostly I mean spiritually, but it could also be physical. I just wonder.....

Happy 4th!

My little explorers. Gotta love the dress and boot combo.
Down to the waterfall...
Last weekend, we joined Ralph and some others for fishing. It was a great day! Nice weather, nice company, nice relaxation. Mr. Ralph and Emily are best buddies. This year he blessed Emily with her very own pink sparkle fishing pole. Last year, he blessed Mya with a pink and purple one for their first day of fishing together. He loves these girls to pieces. It was a day for fishing until......

...the mama duck came with 8 of her babies. Then it was all over. How can a fish compare with a cute, cuddly baby duck? It can't. Then, Matt was clever enough, and fast enough to catch one. The mother did NOT like that at all! She flew at him, was nipping him, splashing at him, VERY angry. I was able to catch this photo just before the ruckus began.

Here is Mya on her last day of Kindergarten. Her entire class had the same t-shirt because there are 5 kindergarten classes. Each class had a different color shirt. One day while walking to the mailbox I came across this turtle on the driveway. I knew the girls would be fascinated with it. Emily, as usual, couldn't keep her hands off of it. I had to send them in to give the turtle a break. It was gone in a blink. I think the reason why turtles are thought to be slow is ONLY because they have no reason to run. Until.... a turtle meets Emily...
