Hawkeye Bowman Club

It was a beautiful day! Phil brought us
girls along to his bow club to practice shooting
arrows. Mya and I had a wonderful time. We
both have that competitiveness that keeps us
trying to do better each time. I over did it, and
woke up during the night with an aching arm.
I used muscles I didn't know I had.

Emily didn't want to touch the bow, or even be
around to watch. She was in flower-land, in a world of
her own and as content as could be.
This was Phil's bow I was shooting. It was really
tough having the strength to pull it back far enough.
I don't have "Man arms".
Testing to see which eye is dominant.
 Retrieving the arrows.
 Fun day!

Memorial Weekend 2014

Amanda had us over to decorate t-shirts.
What a great idea! Girls did them all on their
own. Love how the personality shows through
by way of art.

Broad-tailed hawk.
We started with 4 eggs. After one day, we were blessed
with having two hatch for us to show the kids. Very Cool.
Playful kits. It has become a tradition for us to look for
the new litter and watch them play. Brings a lot of laughter.

Mya had been learning about "frog spawn" and the
difference between frogs & toads. This was cool to
see. Inside the large mass of jelly, there were smaller
eggs with forming tadpoles. When the lighting was
right, you could see them clearly. I love the life-cycle
of everything!

Girls trying "Chubby Bunny" for the first time.
It was funny. They only got one in, since we
got the huge Campfire Smores marshmallows.

Mya creates a leaf-boat. We set a bug for sail to test
it out. Worked great!
Emily LOVES collecting rocks. She could spend
hours searching, and she has the hardest time narrowing
down which ones to keep.

Thought the bright colored canoes across the creek were
a perfect photo opportunity. We're hoping to canoe
ourselves this year. Sounds relaxing to float downstream.

 My wilderness explorers...
The fun that happens around a campfire....
Kids venturing into the woods to cross "the bridge".
Mya was very helpful to a nervous Anthony.
 Papa, Grandson, and the Mya-bee.
The cutest girls ever!
 Emily, Mya & Adrianna...Picture Perfect!

We had an art exhibit going on.
Anthony wanted a picture of himself
riding his bike.
