Drive-In

Emily is very happy that she can stay up late... and she LOVES being with her daddy.
This was Mya's expression nearly the entire time. Absolutely GLUED.
Emily trying to figure out how such a small piece of food can taste SO WONDERFUL!

Sunday, Matt had to head in to work for a few hours. When he arrived home, he started gathering blankets, drinks, and making popcorn. He thought it would be nice to take the girls and I to the drive-in theatre before winter hits. What a great evening it was! The last time we went to the drive-in, I was still pregnant with Emily. On that trip, we sat inside the truck, and it was a bit cramped. On Sunday, we came prepared to have room in the bed of the truck. I didn't catch all the great moments on camera, but I'll try my best to describe them.

Mya is a popcorn girl. If you were to offer her candy in one hand, or popcorn in the other, it would be a REALLY tough decision. All that to say, she was so in awe of the "BIG MOVIE" that she never touched the popcorn! Emily, on the other hand, a TOTALLY different story! Matt was very cautious to not give her too big of pieces, but he had to hurry. She wanted the popcorn shoveled in! It was really hilarious. If, for some reason, she ran out, she would tense up and scream in frustration. Then, when Matt went to drink his soda, Emily figured she was big enough to have that as well. She grabbed on the the bottle with two hands, and with all her strength, tried her best to put it in her mouth. Daddy was wise enough to know that wasn't going to happen if I was there. Emily could have cared less about the movie, but was all into the munching. She crashed shortly after the popcorn was gone.

We can hardly wait for our next Drive-In experience. It's all Mya has talked about the past two days. We are very happy to have it near by.

Day 2

Blurry, but too cute not to put up. Zeke and Emily did GREAT together!
Zeke was feeding Emily. What else could he do? She put her little hands up on his tray, and just watched him as he ate. It was really funny.

Mama and baby trying to get cool.

Holding on for dear life? Looks like it.
Zeke did a great job walking around.

Watching otters under water.
I loved it when he pointed at things!
Emily watching the animals. She cracked up!
We started the day with a big, yummy breakfast, then decided on heading to the Buffalo Zoo. What a day! All the kids.... Emily and Zeke were NOT too young, loved the animals. Mya's favorite was the Giraff. After the zoo, we took them to the Anchor Bar. How can we let any of guests leave without trying the original "buffalo wings"?
Joe and Sarah, THANK YOU again for sacrificing so much to come visit. We know it's a long trip, especially when the babes aren't happy. We love you guys! Hope you enjoyed your stay with us.

Day 1

The "flight of five" was the old lock system.

Joe, Sarah and Zeke arrived at our house late Thursday evening. We are so loved! They took a 6 hour drive, one way, to come spend time with us for two days. Matt had to work on Friday, so the girls and I got to spend our time sight-seeing with them. We spent the early afternoon up in Lockport. I had been wanting to see the "locks" on the river, but didn't want to go with just the girls. This was a perfect opportunity. It was neat! Just as we arrived, there was a boat needing to changed levels. I was amazed at how fast the water level dropped! On our way back home, there was quite a down-pour. It cleared up by the time Matt came home, and everyone cooked hotdogs on the fire-pit. Us four adults stayed up until almost mid-night, just visiting. It was so nice having that time.

We're Still Here

Daddy, I'll get it.... don't mind me.
Girls playing dress up.
Mya's kitty is in the tree. She is showing it her new friends.
And here they are! Mya caught all three by herself.

Emily's favorite place to hang out lately is under the kitchen table. She has a blast!

Oh... so long since I've posted! It's been crazy. Still don't have much time, but will give a quick run down with some pictures. Emily is climbing on EVERYTHING now. Yesterday, when daddy
got home, she showed him how well she fits in the fridge! Mya has found a new love... painting! After she used all her watercolors up, I knew I needed to replace them. We found some washable paints that come in tiny little containers, and she has loved making pictures! Daddy had the oportunity to take Mya to work with him, and she turned him down at first, because she wanted to stay home and paint. I quickly explained that it's not every day she can go to work with daddy.... and away she went! Mya had a great time, but once she returned, it was straight to the picture. Matt has been enjoying some time on the PS3, when the weather isn't good enough to kite. That is his favorite thing to do. I have been finding small times here and there to do some crafts of my own. At this time, we are preparing for a visitors.... and we can hardly wait!!! Hope all is well with everyone.
